This Blogger takes on the most pressing campaign issue of the moment in this weekly Sunday political talk show post. Hillary still defending illegal emails and some Benghazi news. Click on in for the scoops.

Sharyl Attkisson’s Full Measure 1. New evidence that a rescue mission to save the U.S. Ambassador in Benghazi was ready to go… only to be told to stand down. 2. The President vows to take action on gun control. Do his ‘actions’ really have teeth? 3. Prime time politics. A look at the debates and whether the circus atmosphere is demeaning.
Meet the Press–Let’s Deal With an Unpleasant Truth
Donald Trump was on as many shows as there were minutes in a day. I took this pic while he was on Meet the Press, where he accurately summed up that trade we made to get that Berghdahl loser: “they got five terrorists back on the battlefield and we get a dirty rotten traitor”.
Come on, you don’t hear any other Republican candidate so astutely pointing that out.
My first thought when I tuned in and saw Trump was “dear Lord, can’t this man do something with that awful hair?”
Guy’s a millionaire, for God’s sake. He should be able to have an entire head of hair transplanted into his scalp it seems to me.
Not only is it a nonsensical mess, somehow he manages to dye the stuff some kind of neon yellow….
Anyway I see Trump sitting with those Chinese he tells us he’s going to fool so well as they smirk in their shiny black perfectly-combed hairs and wonder what kind of American clown is this.
Fox News Sunday-Now Let’s Talk Donald’s Stances
Donald Trump gave a nice interview to Mike Wallace though I think this contretemps about Ted Cruz and Canada to be a big nothing-burger.
But then I don’t think it was meant to be anything. In the end I consider it entirely possible that Ted Cruz and Donald Trump will form a ticket together.
The two of them were on various shows and besides this citizenship thing, Trump and Cruz don’t have many differences.

Here’s an interesting quote from the Sunday talk show thread on FreeRepublic.
Wow Cheryl Atkinson has done it she has capsulated what happened in Benghazi in six and a half minutes!
Looks like there was an SOS Special Operations Force that was specifically designed just for episodes like Benghazi that was available and here’s what I think happened from watching the video.
It looks like this special operation force was under the control of General Carter Ham who was in charge of African response and in less than a minute after he authorized the SOF to go to bengjazi snd help his second in command came in and relieved him of command.
Now here’s the big question. How is his second in command going to be there and know what to do in less than a minute?Unless he was told in advance that all this was going to happen and that he would have to step in and if this is the case this thing is bigger than ever.
Also the only one who can refuse to let the special operation force go in is the president he’s the only one.
Wow, this is intriguing. So there was a Special Operations Force ready to go when the attack on Benghazi began and someone called them down? Someone supposedly second-in-command?
That’s quite a different story than refusing to gear up or create a special operation force as has been believed, at least by me, for all this time. You mean we had a force ready to go and save those people AND our ambassador to Libya and they were told to stand down?
It is said that only the President-Commander in Chief-can turn down a SOF when they are going to respond to a situation for which it was created.
Political Cartoon of the Week
Face the Nation-Paul Ryan and More Hillary Email Nonsense
The latest and greatest of Hillary’s email scandals, where our Secretary of State flipped the country the bird and did whatever the hell she wanted with classified email that would get thou and me thrown in jail is that an email was found where Hillary instructed the underling that if a classified email won’t go through the normal classified email system, to strip down the email’s classification and send it via normal email.
It gets confusing, don’t it? Because no matter the situation or scenario, everything that woman touches has a pall of corruption and flipping the bird about it. I sat and listened to Hillary’s condescending cackle as she discussed this with host John Dickenson. She flipped her hair, dismissive of those bothering with such silly stuff.
Well WHY HAVE A CLASSIFIED SYSTEM AT ALL GO TO HELL?
I mean just remove the entire governmental classified information rules and let us all have such fun with America’s secrets.
We also had Speaker of the House Paul Ryan on this show and so far he’s holding up well. These are his testing waters and now is his testing time. He and Romney couldn’t bring it in but let’s see how Ryan does in this new leadership position.
CNN State of the Union- Ted Cruz on the Campaign Trail
Jake Tapper interviewed Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on what was obviously a campaign bus.
Cruz is way ahead in the Iowa polls as I understand. He did a good job on this interview and I see good things ahead for Cruz.
This Week-Mumbles McConnell Mumbles Through
This is one of my favorite Sunday political talk shows in that I must smile that the very partisan and Clinton foundation contributor George Stephanopoulos hosts this show and pretends to be impartial.
Marco Rubio gave a great interview, I’d give him an A-. Rubio is quick of mind and glib of tongue. Right now I’m wary of the guy as he did join that Senate gang of Eight and turn the Republican base off, didn’t he?
And we got some new poll information on this show which makes us smile. First a new poll shows Bernie Sanders within three points of Hillary.
OMG! I’d be laughing for a week if Bernie Sanders should win the Democratic nomination. Hell I think Bernie himself would pass out if he beats her!
It will be like the proverbial dog always chasing cars. Maybe once in a canine life they actually catch one but then the dog doesn’t know what to do with it.
Also, heh, we learn that the new guy to beat is Chris Christie.
I don’t believe that for a minute.
Finally Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader, is interviewed and he set his jaw straight and firm this viewer could plainly see when questioned about his nemesis Ted Cruz.
McConnell mumbled that he would respect the vote of the majority.
We shall see.
This Tuesday night is the LAST State of the Union speech by President Obama, write the date down.
It is said that a lame duck president has no power but Lord this man has so much power what with a legislature allowing him free reign, even the MAJORITY opposition party,
I will be listening closely for gun control because this is Obama’s lame duck cause of the week. If it’s a LOSING cause, and for the right amount of support, this administration will make it happen.
As it is this administration is willing to the bidding of our enemies, including IRAN and ISIS.
Come back for my take on this speech.
It is obvious that the GOPe, by the ostentatious appearances of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, is trying to impress the GOP base that they are good guys and really care.
And yet not a single one of them mentioned the new Benghazi movie out. Were there a movie out putting Republicans at a disadvantage politically you can believe Hillary would be talking about it.
Still and so, it shows that the elected Ruling elite are feeling the heat.
Finally, if Trump is real, Hillary’s going to get clobbered with the shenanigans of husband Bill and how she covered or enabled him.
Like Rush explained so eloquently last week, back when Bill was diddling with Monica it was a different world. “It’s only sex,” we were told.
But now we have Hillary herself shouting that women claiming rape should be believed and so now should we believe all those women claiming rape by Bill Clinton?
As we are expected to believe all these women accusing Bill Cosby?
Hang on yon readers, ladies and gems, because it’s going to be a real interesting ride.
I don’t think Hillary’s going to make it to the end.
She’ll use bad health as her reason to drop out.
Write this down, you heard it here first.
I do not respond to comments on my posts. I certainly have no problem with such commentary and, indeed, encourage it. But I’ve written my piece and I don’t want to argue it further.

NEXT : Got the Delaware legislature gearing up so I’m on it. Also a Sussex county post and a scheduled Sussex GOP meeting Monday night we’re attending.
